 Education Program in Havana, Cuba

With the highest literacy rates in Latin America and free education for all students from preschool to college, Cuba’s education system has attracted worldwide attention. Now, EEAbroad is offering education majors and teaching professionals the chance to step inside Cuba’s schools and classrooms for an in-depth look at how this tiny, resource-strapped island managed to become a pioneer in the field of education.

With EEAbroad, you’ll study at the University of Pedagogical Sciences in Havana, one of the island’s top universities for education. Our program gets you into the classroom, observing and supporting Cuban teachers in action. Participants also get to be students themselves! With cultural explorations of the island’s art, food, music, and culture, the EEAbroad education program is a wonderful immersion into both life and learning in Cuba.

Our programs are entirely customizable (really truly!) and can be tailored to focus on any subject, grade level, or specialization (including Special Education). We’ll work with you to create a program perfectly matched to your group’s interests and specifications.
